Intro to JavaScript: Build a virtual pet
Through this webinar hosted by Thinkful, I was able to refresh skills learned in the MIS-Data Centrics class, the fundamental concepts of JavaScript. The webinar went over basic concepts like defining the use of a variable, conditional statements using if and else, functions, parameters, and the use of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. At the end of the webinar, we created a virtual pet that increases weight and happiness with button interactivity using different functions for each interactivity. I learned that there are code editors other than Visual Studio Code, which seemed to work better and took fewer clicks to run. This webinar is excellent for programming related work, also a refresh for classes that I will take in fall 2020.
