IT Projects

During my time under the MIS curriculum, I have performed numerous amounts of IT related projects using some of the most valuable and important IT tools in the business environment. This page will be updated as my coursework progresses.

Consumer Relationship Management and Decision Support Systems – The first project I have completed as a Sophomore in the MIS program opened my eyes up to the real potential Information Technology has on business and its functions. This project came in three parts: learning how to manage, maintain, and supervise a large number of employees and clients through a CRM management software, using a DSS to show how systems are able to easily communicate with its administrators to fluently address large business issues, and lastly, working with a multidimensional system in Microsoft Excel using a pivot table and end-user analytics. This project demonstrated how business, specifically Online Transaction Processing and Online Analytical Processing, can be easily through the use of a Database Management System.

SAP – For my second project in the MIS program, students were asked to work with the SAP system in order to show how this system improves business efficiency. The tasks of this project were to process sales orders given by a client and then to work with SAP’s Human Resource Management software to easily manage employee structures. Working with this system was an obstacle, however, through training and my own extensive research, I believe I can use SAP to the fullest extent.

WordPress e-Portfolio and Google Analytics –This project entailed creating a website off of the WP online application software to showcase the students talents professionalism is the business environment. Following the creation of the e-Portfolio, we were asked to use Google Analytics to measure data coming from our website viewers.
