Biography of Brian Connelly
Currently, I am employed with Verizon where I am member of the Operations and Infrastructure team within the Customer and Business Intelligence (CBI) organization. As a Senior Business Operations Support Analyst, my main responsibilities are to maintain and deliver the highest standard of guidelines and governance for CBI and business unit partners through quality audits, integrated deliverables, and the identification of optimal frequency to provide effective solutions that improve efficiency and compliance. In addition, I have the responsibility for the cross-CBI coordination and consolidation of all guidelines and governance documentation with a focus on detail, seeking opportunities for integration, clear and concise verbiage and presentations, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Ultimately, my responsibility is to drive business transformation by researching, identifying and recommending industry and organizational best practices for engagement, tactical execution and methodologies, including white paper composition.
Previous to Verizon, I was employed by McGladrey, LLP providing companies technology consultation services. As a team player of an engagement team that provided expertise in Microsoft technologies, I assisted clients in helping them reach their technology vision. I assist my engagement team to integrate technologies and Microsoft Dynamics, such as Microsoft GP, Microsoft CRM, and Microsoft AX. In addition, I provided SSRS expertise to clients ensuring an alignment of business requirements and reporting to establish business insight and knowledge.
Prior to joining McGladrey, LLP I was employed by Mesa Technical Associates, LLP where I worked closely with management to build and sustain a scalable IT web presence derived from business objectives. I worked with management on implementing best practices and standard procedures for IT vendor access to the company’s IT infrastructure.
Furthermore, I have experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, specifically in meeting logistics where I assisted the Meeting Operations lead and director with the implementation and support of a global meeting technology tool. As well, I have several years of experience with private small business gaming entertainment and cash logistics.
