Welcome To My E-portfolio!
Hello, my name is Sean Boyer and I’m a freshman MIS major at the Fox School School of Business. Thank you for visiting my E-portfolio! Please feel free to explore my pages and learn more about me.
I was born and raised in Bethlehem, PA where I graduated from Freedom High School. In high school, I was an active member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) where I placed 4th in Pennsylvania for the 2018 Electronic Career Portfolio competition. I was also a captain for BASD Mini-THON, an organization that raises money for pediatric cancer research. I headed the corporate fundraising committee by securing monetary donations from businesses. I have a strong passion for teaching and helping others. As a sophomore in high school, I developed an educational outreach program at my local middle and elementary schools. I taught STEM concepts through interactive lesson plans and activities to encourage students to pursue STEM careers. During the summer of 2017, I worked for my school district’s information technology department. I gained hands-on experience in the field of IT by maintaining technology across more than 22 schools and facilities.
I am currently serving as the Community Service Representative for the Morgan Hall South Community Council. As a member of Community Council, I advocate for my peers by addressing issues concerning food, security, and residential life. I was recently appointed as an Owl Ambassador in training for the Temple Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Owl Ambassadors represent Temple by conducting campus tours for prospective students and their families. I also work for the Temple MIS Department, serving as an Information Technology Assistant (ITA) for a section of Data Science (MIS 0855). I am an active member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), completing all three membership tracks during my first semester.
