Under the guidance of my legal studies professor, Terry Halbert, I have had the privilege of presenting at three teaching conferences on the topic of Digital Media in the Classroom. Inspired by my fall 2013 class, The Immigrant Experience, I have been able to see how digital media and interactive learning is a much more effective teaching method over traditional lecturing.
As a presenter, I am able to share a digital story we created in the class with my audience, and speak about how learning from perspective is more valuable than learning from a textbook.
I have had the privilege of speaking at the following conferences:
- Global Temple Conference, November 20, 2013
- 7 Principles for Teaching Excellence, January 17, 2014
- Global As Local: New Media and “Glocal” Experiential Learning at Rutgers University Camden, April 7, 2014
