“New Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Cybersecurity Reporting Rules for Public Companies”, hosted by Mrs. Thu Nguyen at Temple University, went into great depth surrounding the topic of cybersecurity, cyber breaches, cybercrime, breach reporting, compliance, risk management, new rules, and laws. It was interesting to see the massive amount of cyber breaches so far this year (and the year has not even ended yet). This will apply directly to any role I go into post-graduation. Cybersecurity affects all industries and sectors, and even more so if I choose to go into a cybersecurity role.
