Phi Kappa International Fraternity
Time Frame: May 2015 – Present
Community Service Director
Phi Kappa Sigma International Fraternity (PKS) was founded by Samuel Brown Wylie Mitchell at the University of Pennsylvania on August 16, 1850. Phi Kappa Sigma International Fraternity has Chapters in both the United States and Canada and currently has over 50 active Chapters, Colonies, and interest groups with over 1,200 active members and 40,000 alumni.
As Community Service Director for PKS, I have established a working relationship with the Addario Lung Cancer Foundation (ALCF). This semester, I have assembled a team of runners, walkers and volunteers to represent PKS at the ALCF’s annual 5K in Philadelphia, PA. I will lead our fraternity in fundraising for the ALCF throughout the semester, by organizing creative, fun and rewarding events for those inside and outside of our organization to participate in. Next semester, I will engage similarly with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
