Study Away

Destination Western Europe

Travel Date: May 2015

Destination Western Europe was a  study abroad program that took place at the conclusion of my spring semester, sophomore year. This program took me and 15 other students to London, Rome, and Munich over an 11 day period. The trip’s instructor, Professor Michael McCloskey, focused on teaching us foreign risk management practices, and exposed us to a blend of culture and business. In London, we visited the Lloyd’s of London insurance marketplace for an in-depth analysis of its functions. In Rome, Temple University’s AVP of Risk Management and Treasury taught us the university’s risk management practices at the Rome Campus. And in Munich, we visited Munich Re, the world’s largest reinsurance firm. We took in the unique business cultures of each destination, and acquired valuable skills to successfully navigate the global workforce. Be sure to click on the photos below!
