NBCUniversal Technology – Here You Can Change the Game
I attended the NBCUniversal Technology \\\”Here You Can Change the Game\\\” event on Monday, October 19th 2020. The event was an informational panel providing information about NBCU\\\’s intern and associate positions. I had already applied for this internship position prior to the panel, but attending the event provided me with great insight about the company itself and tips for interviewing in general. The speakers were all leaders at NBCU and had great information about NBCU\\\’s culture, how to stand out in the interview process, the best characteristics to have if you are accepted into the program, and how NBCU could benefit you.
After the event, I actually got moved on to the next step in the interview process – the virtual interview. I used information I learned about how to present myself, what NBCU was looking for, and how to stand out in this interview. I think I was able to preform much better (this being my first virtual interview) than I would have without attending the panel.
This activity not only prepared me for my immediate interview, but also gave me helpful information about any type of professional meeting or interview with other companies in the future. In addition to that, I was also connected with NBCU\\\’s recruiter which is solid networking opportunity, and learned a great deal about the culture of the company which will be helpful if I wind up working with NBCU.
