I will be working alongside Arlo Antle, Noah Gottlieb, and Tymofiy Rabchuk. We are interested in creating an application for emergency rooms that will improve the patient experience, and help the hospital utilize big data. This app will track the ER workflow, and give patients live text message updates during every step of the visit, i.e. a warm welcome message when they check in with reception, the approximate wait time before being seen, and the name of their nurse once he or she is assigned. This application will give hospitals the opportunity to build better relationships with their customers without doing much extra work, become better organized in their day-to-day operations, and become more efficient with patient intake.
