I will be working alongside Arlo Antle, Noah Gottlieb, and Tymofiy Rabchuk. We are interested in creating an application for emergency rooms that will improve the patient experience, and help the hospital utilize big data. This app will track the ER workflow, and give patients live text message updates during every step of the visit, i.e. a warm…[Read more]

Hi Ari – I like the context (healthcare). I think the business challenge here is showing that this is something that is needed and isn’t already covered in current products. The value proposition needs to be something important to the hospital (i.e,. increased compliance, repeat visits, improved patient experience); I don’t know you’ll be able to…[Read more]

Hi everyone!
I’ll be working with Crystal Van, Christian Hettinger, and Chanyang Choi.
We are interested in creating a social media application focused on uploading and sharing recipes. Users will be able to input preferences to get started or create a community of their own through existing contacts. Users would have the option to create a p…[Read more]

Hi Grisselle – I spoke to Crystal about this and gave her some feedback, but essentially I think the interesting angle here is the social feed. You can research apps like Venmo as a model – they basically added a social feed to PayPal (who owns them). But it works. Cooking is a more communal activity where information is shared, so it makes even…[Read more]

Hello,
I will be working with:
Kevin Lynch
Marlea Tremper
Bridgette BrodnyanWe plan to make an application called “The Move”. The app will help people search nightlife options (bars and clubs) based off a number of criteria. It will be similar to Yelp except entirely focused on bars and clubs. It will provide, in a simple and straightforward…[Read more]

Hi Sean – So you’ve thought this through in some detail, which is good. But I’m not yet convinced this is something better than Yelp (which has reviews on everything) or Google (which will show foot traffic by time of day). I suppose Google isn’t even real-time, but collecting that data could be expensive, so how will you actually do that…[Read more]

Our group is planning on making an application that allows individuals to rent out their driveways, primarily in cities. The idea is similar to airbnb.
Group:
Anthony D’Amico
Nicole Bilder
Matt Funk
Gabrielle Finley-
Anthony – I’d need to hear a little more about this to really assess it. It sounds interesting but also a little “off-the-wall” (which is not necessarily a bad thing).
It would help to state the problem you are solving and a high-level plan for generating revenue (I think I know what both of those would be).
But I think the big issue here is log…[Read more]

Our group has two ideas that we are currently playing with:
1. An application that pulls volunteer events from various websites and social media applications and compiles them into an easy to use calendar format
For Data rules: Dates, times, on-going/ one-time, type of event (categories in a drop-down menu), level of experience needed, etc.
Name:…[Read more]-
Hi Leah – Both sound workable, but #2 might solve a more important problem, which are the growing problems with the ad-based revenue model (i.e., http://entreproducer.com/online-advertising/).
Why limit this to “gurus” – wouldn’t this work for companies too – how big is the “guru” market? But then why wouldn’t a company (or a guru) just use a…[Read more]

Hey everybody!
I’m still looking for a group so if you want or need another member, let me know! I had an idea along the lines of a task management app that automatically creates a daily to-do list based on what events you have input. It’s a pretty simple idea but one I think is useful. If your idea is similar to this, I’d love to work with you…[Read more]
