Hello,
I will be working with:
Kevin Lynch
Marlea Tremper
Bridgette BrodnyanWe plan to make an application called “The Move”. The app will help people search nightlife options (bars and clubs) based off a number of criteria. It will be similar to Yelp except entirely focused on bars and clubs. It will provide, in a simple and straightforward…[Read more]

Hi Sean – So you’ve thought this through in some detail, which is good. But I’m not yet convinced this is something better than Yelp (which has reviews on everything) or Google (which will show foot traffic by time of day). I suppose Google isn’t even real-time, but collecting that data could be expensive, so how will you actually do that…[Read more]

I’ve really enjoyed interning at Cigna these past ten weeks. I worked on an app development team, assisting the analysts with various tasks, such as requirements gathering and testing. This type of work suits me, because it’s all about communicating well and being organized. When I start my real career after graduating, I hope to work as a bus…[Read more]

I mainly shadow the business analyst on the team, and assist with gathering and documenting requirements for upcoming releases. By coming in with…[Read more]

Hi everyone! This summer I am interning at Cigna in their Philadelphia office. I am a Technology Early Career Development Program intern (along with two other students in this class, Kasey and Gabrielle, which is pretty cool!). My title is Systems Analyst, and I am assigned to the Service Performance and Metrics team. This team is responsible for…[Read more]

An important thing I learned during my first week was how to utilize the company’s communication tools. I had never used Microsoft Outlook or Skype for Business before, and I realized right away that mastering those tools is very important, especially since my team is spread across different locations. It took some initial guidance from my m…[Read more]

The MIS e-portfolio is a tremendous digital branding tool. I feel fortunate to utilize it as a way to distinguish myself from my peers at other universities; whereas a resume only provides a very general snapshot […]
