I learn a lot from Women in Tech event last week, here is some notes I want to share with everyone
Time: April 13-14

Location: Chemical Heritage Foundation, 315 Chestnut Street

What I expect to learn and what I learn: Before go to the event, I am so excited and wonder what’s that look like, and I may meet a lot of women who are also interesting in technologies. After I go to the women in tech, it was surprise me how professional and how awesome it is. All kinds of sponsors who come from different places of Pennsylvania such as Comcast, Salesforce, The meet group and O3 World. I also met Comcast sponsors who come from New Jersey and one in Philadelphia, we had a great discussion because they are in different department and I am a MIS temple student so we can exchange the knowledge through communication. About the lectures, I am really like “Embrace Tech Trends to Strengthen your leadership skills”

there are four women who are director of strategic alliances, one stream; retired CIO of WAWA; founder and Co-CEO; SVP Strategic Planning and info, PGW  

Some tips and notes I have made in the women in tech discussion:

Mentor ship help and learn from them apply leadership
No. 1 skill: learning and technology passion
technologies trends focus on AI or Blockchain
read real-time news and change
collect information from social media everyday
please aware the resources have in your companies and utilized it
Use twitter to find smart people and look for the topic people are talking about
Find mentor find sponsors find smart people find peer group invest it keeps educated yourself don’t behind
New tech entrance what is the best way to learn more
What kind of skills set and certification you need, use online resources to learn
Mentor put it out and get skills
How to prepare the interview is very improtant
Be prepared the opportunity and jump in
Put yourself out it is awkward but it will get better
Diversified your skill set.

Failure is very important
How do you behave learn from someone you admire to form great leadership
Be brave be broad
notice: People are watching you when you fail, you still have to confidence, and taking action is very improper , do not take the step back

Know what you saying in talking
People love to talk about themselves-search their information-being prepare- research something make you panic
Practice-first time is like a new muscle you add it-keep trying
Remember: What’s keeping you busy is the factor that is really change you and improve yourself
