I learn a lot from Women in Tech event last week, here is some notes I want to share with everyone
Time: April 13-14Location: Chemical Heritage Foundation, 315 Chestnut Street
What I expect to learn and what I learn: Before go to the event, I am so excited and wonder what’s that look like, and I may meet a lot of women who are also interesting in technologies. After I go to the women in tech, it was surprise me how professional and how awesome it is. All kinds of sponsors who come from different places of Pennsylvania such as Comcast, Salesforce, The meet group and O3 World. I also met Comcast sponsors who come from New Jersey and one in Philadelphia, we had a great discussion because they are in different department and I am a MIS temple student so we can exchange the knowledge through communication. About the lectures, I am really like “Embrace Tech Trends to Strengthen your leadership skills”

collect information from social media everyday
please aware the resources have in your companies and utilized it
Use twitter to find smart people and look for the topic people are talking about
Find mentor find sponsors find smart people find peer group invest it keeps educated yourself don’t behind
New tech entrance what is the best way to learn more
What kind of skills set and certification you need, use online resources to learn
Mentor put it out and get skills
How to prepare the interview is very improtant
Be prepared the opportunity and jump in
Put yourself out it is awkward but it will get better
