Temple Made! The school is in a great location in Philly with easy access to everything the city has to offer. Campus is lined with some of the best food trucks in Philly. Temple’s student resources are excellent and improving. The facilities are currently being upgraded. Overall, I had a great experience with my undergrad.
-
Jesse Hoffman- Didn’t attend temple but visited their campus. Terrible surrounding neighborhood slums, dangerous area, and street parties were happening. Pretty sketchy school just from observations and quite left leaning politically

Over priced as hell. Ordered a turkey sub the first time it was decent but payed 9 dollars for the “half” sized price. Pretty small .Then got a chicken wrap for the same price a few days later. It was garbage. To say the least. And small

So far, in my first semester here, I think Temple University, Japan Campus is great! It feels like my teachers and the admin really care about the students here. There are so many fun activities and clubs to get involved in. I will say, the classes that assigned homework gave a lot and all the projects I was assigned took a lot of my time; however, I still managed to hang out with my friends and explore the city a lot. You just need to manage your time well or lose some sleep. When you’re coming to the Japan campus for your first semester on a visa and you’re under 22, you are required to stay in the dorms or live with a host family. I did the second option and I personally thought it was a little difficult. You’ll need to adjust your time and habits to fit their schedule and ways. My commute to school was about an hour, including a 15-20 min walk to the train station. The dorms are also pretty far though, so I wish there were closer housing options especially as it’s mandatory.

What a gross representation of a flawed education system. It is illegal to punish students for peaceful demonstrations. We see what you are trying to do. I hope there a class lawsuit against administrators and the board who pushed for this. Students deserve a living wage.

Talk about diversity. During my four years at Temple I encountered so many different walks of life and many interesting people. From old friends reunited, to roving musicians, like minded aspiring journalists, and many cultures, Temple had it all on any given minute.
It didn’t always deliver on it’s classes, but the good teachers really made sure you walked out with a learning experience that went well beyond the classroom. I had so many classes that went beyond the extra mile.
And Temple keeps on growing. They were working on adding onto it when I was leaving. A lot of those buildings and additions are finished now, and their still adding on even more. so it’s only going to get better. -
I went to Temple on Alumni Weekend with my friend Leah. The campus is located in the middle of Philly, in a somewhat sketch neighborhood. The campus itself is beautiful. Lovely gothic building, lots of grassy areas, statues and places to shop and eat. It’s hard to believe that right outside the campus is a not so pleasant spot to be stuck in. Leah said there has been a lot updated around the campus, new buildings and such. It’s a great place to walk around.

a) Students may have left reviews in favor of their alma-mater, other variables like food trucks in the area might influence people’s perceptions of the campus (for better or for worse).
b) Reviews give background information about surrounding community, job opportunities and educational environments; all things one might consider while searching for a place to study.
c) Quickly looking into the profile that gave the review, maybe how much information is given by each review (word count)

“Temple is an excellent university. It is well respected throughout the Delaware Valley, Tri-State Area, and particularly in major Northeastern cities. Temple provided me with a top-notch education and a strong academic foundation allowing me to pursue some highly ranked graduate programs. I can’t emphasize enough how great my experience as a Temple undergraduate was. Temple is very noble in its mission and boasts a diverse array of students from different ethnicities, nations, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I can genuinely say that Temple U is a wonderful university that provided me with an excellent undergraduate education and an overall great college experience. Lastly, Temple University is a sleeping giant as it is one of the largest national research universities in the United States.” – A Kar

The school is a top notch University.
Will recommend this place to anyone. -
Great learning institution located in a culturally diverse part of the city. I went to both the downtown and the Ambler locations, which provided a different landscape to learn in. I really enjoyed and value my education at Temple!

Excellence epitomized! The facilities are pristine and beautiful and this was only surpassed by the quality of care and the superior level of dentistry I experienced throughout the years I have been a patient. Thank you to the wonderful student dentists an staff. Highly recommended!

“WORST experience I have ever seen. Philadelphia is NOT a safe place. I have been getting alerts from Temple U about break-ins, burglary, and theft. The city is filthy and unsafe. Off-canpus housing cost a fortune just for slum and filth. No help from advisor and the advisors charge hundreds of dollars for matriculation including other fees. They RAISED the tuition this Fall 2016 AFTER they accepted my application (which I had to pay $200 for it online), but they did NOT raise the loans and grants they gave. Yet, they DON’T give enough loans and they tell you to get a private loan. HORRIBLE place….I can go on and on: do NOT be fooled…Temple is not safe, it’s filthy, disrespectful, and too costly….GO ELSEWHERE.” – Goddess Yoli Cosmetique, 7 years ago

Temple has an abundance of activities, clubs, and real world experience to offer its students. The school has a bad reputation for its location however, the surrounding area is truly much safer than most make it out to be. Just be smart and you’ll be fine. I would never regret attending Temple. It has been the most fun and most important time of my life.

4 stars because my daughter loves Temple but I have to rant about one thing: $269 fee is assessed to pay tuition online!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING???? Let me get this straight— since I am doing YOU a favor and paying online so you can HIRE LESS STAFF, I still have to be financially inconvenienced?????. Parents: if you live nearby just drop the payment off or call them to get details on mailing it in. They are understaffed so you may wait 15 -20 minutes on hold but its worth it.
The staff in the Bursars office once you get them on the phone is kind, respectful and professional 🙂 -
“I went to Temple, and I loved it. One thing to remember that no matter where you go to school, you’ll get out of it what you put into it. In terms of location, Temple’s could be better (can be a rough neighborhood) but I never had any problems. Philadelphia is full of culture and activities, overall, I would recommend the school to anyone.”

San Francisco, CA
“There was once an historical cemetery located on the grounds of Temple University. Temple needed more parking lots to accommodate their growing number of students that were driving to the university starting in the 1930’s and they tried to purchase the cemetery. The owners of the cemetery refused to sell. So Temple went the unethical approach of getting the cemetery condemned so they could take ownership. Of the 28,000 corpses buried there only 900 or so got reburied. All of the tombstones were removed and abandoned on the river banks of the Delaware river. This behavior shows the unethical and substandard behavior of Temple. If you are considering a university you would do well to stay away from this unethical and despicable university. The university will get its just rewards when they meet their maker…rest assured. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HG8cAZG2SJI “ -

I loved my time at Temple! They have really great resources! I liked that they have multiple campuses, because it adds to the experience if you’re able to go to each one. I was able to go on a world tour (Mexico – India – Brazil) through the International Programs Office at the Fox School of Business. It really added to my education. The campus is extremely diverse so you really can make friends anywhere. The proximity to the University of Pennsylvania allows you to get an Ivy League education at a fraction of the cost.
