Why is Google operating its own cafeterias with full-time chefs and cooks for its all employees, instead of outsourcing to external caterers?
Google is an employee friendly company. Its financial reputation is so huge that firstly it can afford to have its own chefs. Moreover, having own chefs ensures that the quality and delivery of food will be to the top most standards. Also having own cooks ensures that employees get food as and when they want and can relish.

How does complexity in IT “kill” business flexibility?
Complexity in IT definitely kills the flexibility of the business due to the fact that complexity adds more overheads, costs, processing, resource use, time and budget for the overall program to succeed. Complexity of a system also makes the maintenance and support highly difficult as complexity required skilled labor to handle those systems.
What would be valid, legitimate reasons that some business units are using Oracle database, while others are using Microsoft SQL?
There are many reasons for it. Firstly, Oracle has been a pioneer in Databases and it has been providing database services for millions of customers for so many years. Considering the usage and convenience of using Oracle databases, many people don’t switch easily to Microsoft SQL. However, Microsoft SQL has the biggest benefit of Transact SQL, which negates the use of complex SQL and others. Both are performance oriented with a little difference in their transaction processing capabilities.

In IT systems, many components or sub-systems are integrated or linked to each other for operations. Coupling in IT systems basically means the degree to which these components are related to each other. Example, components may be tightly related to each other or loosely related.
