Ironically, the classes that provided me with the most leverage during my internship are the only 1-credit courses of the Fox School Business curriculum. Professional Development Strategies helped with the soft/behavioral skills I needed to work in a professional workplace and Excel for Business Applications provided me with Excel-based knowledge.…[Read more]

By far the most important skills to have when starting the Staff 1 position is Excel and communication skills. Every Staff 1 and Staff 2 that I talked to said a majority of their work is done in excel and that they wish they had learned how to use it more thoroughly in college.
