With all of us entering the work force soon I found this article to be interesting since IT always consist of a lot of outsourcing. In IT there will always be companies looking to outsource work, by outsourcing companies can either find cheaper ways to get work done, or find more efficient workers on a certain task. I never really thought about how careful you needed to be for setting up a contract for outsourcing. In IT it is always crucial to spell everything out in your contract. In the article it talks about outlining technology currency and refresh clauses, this is a very critical part of the contract because technology is constantly updating, you wouldn’t want to sign a contract for outsourcing and then be stuck using older technology. I believe that the most dangerous part outsourcing is having technology advancing so rapidly, thus going forward IT professionals looking to outsource will need to perfect the short term contract.
