Successfully built a multi-page HTML-based website for an imaginary business, complete with an interactive calculator. For this assignment, I chose to represent an imaginary custom-cut fabric shop, who sell specialty fabrics at any size needed. Customers can select their fabric of choice on our inventory page and then use our calculator to get an price quote on their selected fabric in their needed size. This project strengthened my HTML skills significantly and helped solidify my basic HTML knowledge.

MIS 3535 project
Microsoft Project 2016 Essential Training
I developed a strong grasp of Microsoft Project 2016 and learnt how to efficiently oversee projects from inception to completion in this course. In order to create realistic timetables, I looked at how to put up project components such as tasks, milestones, and resources and connect them. Additionally, I learned how to monitor workloads, control resource availability, and maintain projects on schedule and under budget. Project 2016’s new features, such as the “Tell me what you want to do” area and numerous timelines, improved the efficiency of my job. I felt competent by the end of the course in monitoring developments, resolving scheduling conflicts, and disseminating project information in various ways to guarantee project delivery success.
Learning Design Thinking: Lead Change in Your Organization
An in-depth overview of design thinking, a user-centered approach to problem-solving that prioritizes creativity and teamwork, is given in this course. By examining important tactics including customer journey mapping, concept creation, prototyping, and service blueprint building, it helps executives cultivate a design thinking attitude within their teams. In order to illustrate how design thinking revolutionizes firms at scale, author Turi McKinley offers insights from her experience working at frog, a worldwide design and strategy agency. The course explores the leadership styles, roles, and environments required for successful design thinking, including interacting with people of all backgrounds and abilities. It also emphasizes hypothesis generating, creative teamwork, and quick prototyping to advance designs. In order to exchange educational experiences and deepen their understanding through dialogue, participants are urged to join a LinkedIn group. By the end, students will have the skills necessary to coordinate teams, lead change, and apply design thinking to spur creativity.

Website Design Project – MIS 2402
This project was for my MIS 2402 class in which we were tasked to utilize all of the skills we learned within our time this semester, including frameworks/libraries such as Bootcamp, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery. I created a website for a fictional business that dealt with pet grooming, which helped me reinforce key concepts that we learned in class.
I created a landing page and four additional pages to simulate a business’ website, with the four additional pages linking to ‘About Me’, ‘FAQ’, ‘Portfolio’, and ‘Cost Calculation’ sections separate from the landing page itself. I utilized all the aforementioned skills to create these pages, with the ‘Cost Calculation’ page featuring jQuery as the building blocks for the script.
2402 PRO points website
I created a website for an imaginary business using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills I learned in MIS 2402, Web Application Development, with Laurel Miller. The website contains an index and about page, as well as price estimate calculator, reservation, and contact us pages. The website is accessible through misdemo at https://misdemo.temple.edu/tuq27668j/2402_PRO_points/index.html. Through the project I was able to experiment and put the information I learned through the course to practical use, taking inspiration from class activities and assignments to build a functioning website.
CJ’s Boxing Gym
The created website is comprised of four linked HTML files that also incorporate CSS for aesthetics and JavaScript for functionality. The website is designed to mimic the home website of a boxing gym and includes both image and hyperlink tags in JavaScript. The website also includes a built-in calculator to calculate the cost of both a gym membership and boxing classes.
Leading Change: LinkedIn Learning
Through Turi McKinley’s course “Learning Design Thinking: Lead Change in Your Organization” I was able to get a better understanding of how to adopt and lead a user-centered design thinking approach to drive meaningful innovation. The importance of creating spaces that garner creativity and making complex ideas tangible through visualization is necessary when driving innovation. The course highlighted the value of leadership in aligning teams, managing creative flow, and setting shared goals to guide collaboration effectively. Tools like journey mapping, hypothesis generation, and service blueprints stood out as practical methods to translate ideas into actionable solutions as well. Additionally, I gained an appreciation for prototyping as a powerful way to refine concepts and noticed how spreading design thinking as a cultural mindset can really change organizations. This experience deepened my appreciation for the importance of active leadership, structured creativity, and iterative learning in creating lasting change.
MIS 2402 PRO Points Project
The goal of this project was to create a website using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap utilizing knowledge learned from the course as well as AI-assisted coding. This project allowed me to start a project from scratch on my own, create folders and files to correspond with the project, and build multiple pages that interact with each other. It was a well-rounded project that allowed me to work with simple HTML that was learned in the beginning of the course, like using headers and <p></p> tags to add in text, as well as build a calculator, include image references, and link the pages together to create something interactive and creative. Towards the end, I had some fun with using AI-assisted coding to include code to color each pages a different pastel color that made the website more aesthetically pleasing and eye-catching. Overall, I learned a lot from doing this project and was able to tie in various course concepts along the way.
