UK Shop – Facebook Clothing Online Store
- Overview: After realizing an increasing demand for foreign high-fashion clothes in Vietnam, especially among Vietnamese millennials in 2014, I collaborated with my sister, who was studying in the UK at that time, to found an online clothing store by using Facebook Fanpage and taking advantage of this opportunity. In grade 10, I developed the marketing contents for our Facebook posts of new clothes, received and shipped goods from the UK to Vietnamese customers, identified targeted customer demographics, and ran marketing campaigns to reach new customers.
- Achievements:
- Generated $1500 in sales revenue per month during the first 6 months
- Increased the monthly revenue to $2500 and then eventually $4000 by using Facebook Ads Marketing and Promotional as well as Referrals Campaigns.
- Takeaways: This “start-up business” helped me understand the business world from early on, developed my marketing, customer relationship, and product researching skill, and built my business acumen. Also, as this business showed me the big impact of technology such as Facebook on people’s lives, it piqued my interest in technology and business and encouraged me to pursue Management Information System and Computer Science in college.
