National Analytics Challenge

AIS National Analytics Challenge 2018

This is the entry of my team, which includes I and two other MIS students, for the AIS National Analytics Challenge in 2018. We were asked to examine QVC’s e-commerce performance based on various metrics such as product mix, delivery speed, and warehouse distribution and come up with solutions to help QVC become a leading e-commerce firm. By utilizing Tableau and Excel to analyze the dataset of approximately 800,000 rows, I found the patterns of most-buying product mix and customer preferences based on their location. Moreover, I also connected different variables in the dataset and found a strong relationship between delivery speed and customer satisfaction and the relationship between product allocation and network distribution. Based on my analysis, we presented our findings and recommendations in an infographic by using Piktochart and Photoshop and did a presentation about that. We won second place in this competition.
