Project Management Revamp and Best Practices
- Business Problem: Tapp Network DevOps team is growing fast in terms of both projects and resources. Therefore, the team needs to have a better way to maintain its team communication, manage projects, and keep track of the project tasks and updates.
- Overview: This is a high-level, strategic project that aims at revamping the current project management (PM) framework at Tapp by setting standard types of regular meetings and introducing new PM tools as well as best practices of using them effectively.
- My Tasks:
- Collaborate with Tapp’s CTO to develop new PM framework and best practices of using PM tools and introduced metrics
- Gather requirements and pain points from Tapp’s CTO and developers
- Prioritize and categorize projects based on Tapp’s current project portfolio to align them with the PM framework
- Set standard types of regular meetings such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Backlog Grooming Session,
- Research PM tools that can be integrated with Tapp’s current technologies such as GitHub, Rollbar, and Slack
- Communicate with developers to get stakeholder buy-ins
- Develop a change management plan and best practices documents
