Server & Jobs Dashboard – Global BI/Analytics
- Business Problem: Getting Server and Job info (Down/Uptime & SLA) is time-consuming and only accessible to the DBA team. Needs to create a centralized dashboard, so everyone can see that information in real-time.
- Overview: Developing a real-time, interactive Tableau dashboard to measure server performance, and monitor and manage +9 MS SQL servers and their jobs
- Skills: Requirement Gathering, Tableau, MS SQL, SQL Server Agent
- My Tasks:
- Self-learned MS SQL and SQL Server Agent by conducting online research and getting advice from DBA team
- Collaborated with the DBA team and the CIO to gather needs and requirements
- Create different dashboard views (executive & detailed) to satisfy the different needs of stakeholders
- Utilized T-SQL and Tableau that connects to MS SQL dataset to develop and deploy the real-time Server & Jobs dashboard
