Target Case Competition at Temple University 2018
In this competition, my team and I were asked to help Target become the leader in gender-neutrality toy industry while deliver its “Expect More. Pay Less” slogan. After doing industry research, we came up with a strategic plan with 4 main recommendations to allow kids to play toys and pursue their interests regardless of genders. The plan includes the implementation of an in-door play area where kids can test out toys and shoppers can earn rewards, the new product categorization and in-store display based on kids’ interests instead of genders, the investment of an internal toy brand, and the utilization of online and offline marketing. Besides that, our plan also addresses financial projection, a SWOT analysis and risk mitigation strategies.
