Fox MIS graduates are ready to work! Fox MIS students receive extensive professional training and development opportunities through the Fox School, and the expanded network of the MIS department and associated Institute for Business and Information Technology.

MIS portfolio points and e-portfolios

MIS majors receive points for participation in professional development activities and for applying what they learn in the classroom to practice (e.g., internships, student organization leadership). Students must earn 1000 points before they can graduate. Students showcase their achievements on e-portfolios.

The Fox MIS careers site provides access to job and internship opportunities, the most recent Fox MIS placements, and the custom Fox MIS resume template.

Association of Information Systems (AIS)

AIS is the student organization for Fox MIS students and offers students social, professional, and leadership development opportunities.

MIS career counseling

All BBA in MIS majors receive one-on-one career counseling in a private session. You will have the opportunity to sit down with a career counselor who has significant experience in industry and gain insight into the roles of MIS personnel and potential career paths. You will discuss your interests with the career counselor and learn about MIS careers that are aligned with your interests. BA 2101 professional development

All BBA in MIS majors are offered a customized version of a professional development course in which you hear from industry professionals about careers in MIS and get ready for the job marketplace.

Institute for Business and Information Technology

IBIT offers extensive networking and professional development opportunities through events such as the Fox IT symposium and real-world projects.

Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD)

CSPD offers professional development and career management workshops.
