Personal Journal Entry
During this week for our project management group, I helped develop the work breakdown structure for our group. This helps outline the tasks of our group and organizes all of the tasks that need to get done by a specific deadline. Furthermore, it breaks down the tasks into subtasks that are more detailed so we can obtain better results. I also wrote the risk management plan for the group as we approach the prototyping of the product. This is important because it will help us identify and administer possible risks that may arise while we revamp the website of Somerville Lumber and Home Center. We will also categorize risks by the probability of them occurring and also the impact that they will have on our results. Based on this information, we will be able to prioritize risks and determine which risks to attack first. Lastly, we met with the Business Analysts and they confirmed that they were having issues with the project scope. Since the start of the project, we have utilized Google Drive to share files and communicate with one another. This helps us stay up to date with everything that is going on. On the other hand, we are having major issues physically meeting up together because many of our schedules are constricted. In the future, we plan to identify a few days a week that we can regularly meet up and discuss progress on project.
