Similar to what Aryna said regarding a switch from Android to Apple products, I also feel it is a matter of preference. Personally, I have an Android and after becoming used to the Google Play Store and certain Android features, I do not feel any need to transition to an Apple product that is in most cases more expensive. For question two, I do…[Read more]

I believe an Omnichannel customer service experience is certainly beneficial to customers. As Matt points out above, dealing with customer service representatives repeatedly and having to explain your situation over and over to a different person every time is extremely frustrating, as I’m sure nearly all of us are aware. Furthermore, I believe…[Read more]

For some reason my browser will not allow me to scroll down and read the article in its entirety. Not sure if anyone else had a similar issue but based on what I know already regarding these topics here are my opinions.
1. I do believe the Robinson – Patnam Act is a good act in most situations simply because it limits corruption, undue…[Read more]

Brian Leahy commented on the post, Five Catalysts Accelerating Cloud ERP Growth In 2015, on the site 9 years, 8 months ago
I believe providing employees with smartphones access to a cloud ERP system can help significantly with business processes. As the article states mobility is extremely important to the supply chain process. Furthermore, in today’s environment being able to make decisions quickly and having the information available that is required to make those…[Read more]

Brian Leahy commented on the post, Companies Struggle With ERP Selection, on the site 9 years, 8 months ago
Good job Jaeson. Similar to the text, you point out several of the issues that companies have not only after they have implemented an ERP system but also with the decision to implement an ERP system. With the extravagant costs that often come with implementation of an ERP system it is not surprising that in order for the implementation to be…[Read more]

Brian Leahy commented on the post, Hololens and Conference Calls , on the site 9 years, 9 months ago
I believe the Hololens concept is a great idea but I do not know if I believe the immediate application of such a futuristic idea will be successful or riddled with inefficiencies in the initial phase, which will probably cost early users a significant amount of money. That being said, if implemented successfully and seamlessly, at a reasonable…[Read more]

Brian Leahy commented on the post, Crowdsourcing America's Cybersecurity, on the site 9 years, 9 months ago
I don’t believe the benefits of using crowd-sourcing cyber-security outweigh the negatives. If my security is going to be compromised I would prefer it to be my fault not the fault of someone else, therefore I don’t feel I would ever be able to personally stomach this approach. I do believe it could be helpful in certain situations but as you said…[Read more]

As many people now do, I also do a significant amount of shopping online. However, I do not prefer to do clothes shopping online for the exact reason that is mentioned immediately in the article. I am not rich and therefore will not pay for clothes that may not fit only to find out a week later when they get delivered that they do not. I believe…[Read more]

Similar to what Stephanie said, the first thing I thought of was Groupon while reading this article. As we read in our text, Groupon’s largest weakness is that it is easy to copy. I believe the Twitter Offers idea has officially proven this. Groupon does have a certain level of convenience with an e-mail service that “caters” to specific users…[Read more]

Great article. I remember my friend told me all about Alibaba when they were about to launch their IPO a few years ago but I did not realize they had become such a force in the B2B market. I do not believe Alibaba or any other company will replace traditional supply chains in the near future but I believe Alibaba may continue to steal a portion of…[Read more]
Wow! This is a truly deep article and scary, but, unfortunately, with everything that is going on in our world, this might be considered a necessity. There are so many individuals who are bent on doing harm to other people, and although, the government is not able to keep up with all of the hackers and terrorists, I have to admit that I feel a little safer when someone who attempting to do harm to anyone is caught before the damage is done.
A really interesting article!
You raise some great ethical questions about data collection and surveillance! How much is too much? Or is it?
For years (really since 9/11) the government has been running surveillance on Americans without judicial oversight. It is amazing that this goes on without comment in the mainstream media. The article is interesting becasue it addresses social media monitoring which isn’t new, but is becoming more and more prevalent.
