My time at the School District was a great learning experience and I enjoyed everyday. My coworkers and mentors have taught me a great deal of the “real world” and how I need to adapt in order to make a healthy transition into the workplace. Though it was a short time there, I will not be returning as a I will be starting my full-time position at…[Read more]

Something that I learned throughout my internship is that what is actually applying the skills i learned to the actual workplace. Sure you can learn how to properly read a case and break it down, but actually applying it to a real world case is completely different. I learned that being given a task about a company that hasn’t done a contract with…[Read more]

I learned all of these skills…[Read more]

Its important to keep track of your time because it’ll keep you aware of what needs to get finished. Seeing that you…[Read more]

Mentioned in previous posts, I also agree that communication is key to a successful environment. Especially in my past internship at the School District, their is so much work going around that I need to track who I gave my certain documents to, who I talked to about contracts, where each contract lists were recorded. Their is so much potential in…[Read more]

When I began working at the School District of Philadelphia, I didn’t know much about their process of handling RFP, RFQ, and RFI’s. There was a lot of information and processes that I didn’t know much about. To get started, the people that I was working with helped a lot in my professional growth in learning the ropes around the company. They…[Read more]

Hi class,

On my first day, I was thrown right in to a project that they have been working on for months. In procurement, they were in the process of acquiring numerous…[Read more]
