When I make purchase online I always use secured web site. In addition, if it possible I do not give my credit card information. Instead, I use PayPal. Yes, debit card fraud is one of the most serious problem of payment and private information security. People should check their bank balance and transactions daily to detect any fraud.

This is on somewhat of a small scale, but thinking back to when my company was remodeling one of their stores- first off, a representative from corporate comes in to take an accurate measurement of the entire square footage of the store. This is most important, because proper sized materials need to be ordered, and many times these items are customized.
Unfortunately, the footage was off for a particular store, so the remodel ground to a halt and we had to wait an extra 2 days for the proper materials to be expedited (extra COST) to us in order for us to reopen on time.
Although this wasn’t in a database, this type of inaccurate bad data can lead to costly mistakes.
The article definitely explains how beneficial it is to not have dirty data and how it can impact the company. Having dirty data can definitely cause high costs and diminishing sales and lack of customer satisfaction. I know the company I work for has been having issues with this recently as some of our most popular items are not in the system properly. This has made a lot of our customers unhappy. It definitely shows how important it is to have your data as accurate as possible so as to not have any hitches.
