Hey everyone, if anyone needs to use it I have a HDMI to VGA adapter that I’ll bring to class Wednesday. However it won’t work with some laptops that don’t support analog output via HDMI (Macbooks and maybe some others).
I’ll be in the classroom at least half an hour early Wednesday if you want to try it out.

Technology in healthcare has been rapidly developing over the past decade. Disruptive innovations have changed the way that patients and doctors interact. This provides several benefits both for the health of the […]

Healthcare is often associated with risk and insurance. I think that what you mentioned above, self-monitoring smart devices, could potentially lead to some disruptive changes within insurance for healthcare. Consumers should realize that if something is digitally monitoring them, that’s potential data for companies. This could lead to changes in health insurance because now there is much more quantitative data on the individual. This information could then be used for risk assessment so consumers could see premiums increase. Although this may not be disruptive relative to healthcare, I’d say it’s pretty disruptive in terms of data collection for insurance companies.
-
My last slide deck focused on disruptive innovations in healthcare and I do believe these innovations will completely alter the healthcare industry we know today. The healthcare industry needs to prepare and develop strategies to adjust to these upcoming changes. There will be a transition from patients paying for a service to paying for a device that will help monitor and assist their health. For example, Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare such as machine intelligence platform is advancing patient risk scoring and readmission reduction.

As many businesses continue to outsource many of their IT functions (Like cloud services) to third party providers, there is a growing focus on the efficiency of the transition from internal processes to third […]

A business may need to first identify the issues caused by the systems and then come up with a error correction tracking sheet. This would help the company to understand the causes and correct those errors for a better performance. Also, in order to make the transition processes smoother, a company must know the infrastructure of the organization’s system.
-
These IT transitions are never as simple as they’re made out to be. A team skilled team is required to makes sure that all of the integrations go as smoothly as possible, but also hiring teams from the 3rd party source as consultants can help immensely. Systems thinking may not always be necessary in the short run for outsourcing IT, just plug it in and be done with it if it’s a small application, but in the long run this style can really hurt the company make it become a tangled mess of applications no one has a handle on. In this case systems thinking is integral to make sure your enterprise architecture stays intact and accurate.
