Well, I would say that if MIS is not your major to not take it. Specifically, if you’re an arts major. Mainly because, it’s complex and seems to be tailored for MIS majors. On the flip side, you do learn how to work with data and that can be beneficial to some non-business majors. For example, producers or marketing majors.

I work for Amazon so that’s easy for me. For columns I would put item number, name, description, if it’s prime or not, price, shipping, ratings.
However, I would separate the rows by categories and departments. -

The biggest challenge was knowing specifically what to use and cleaning up the data. It was very time consuming and honestly, it should’ve been the only assignment for the class, at least the first half. My most common KPI is my sleep app on my phone. It monitors how many hours of sleep I get each night and can tell me if I am getting enough or not. As it notices shifts in my sleep pattern it questions if it is due to me doing too much work or if it is from me being busy. It will suggest better sleep habits to me. I do a lot of marketing, so number one is my most made mistake. I deal a lot with .csv files when it comes to email marketing.
