I think one of the best aspects or advantages that Veeva gives to pharmaceutical companies is mobility. Sales reps are constantly on the move and need a cloud-based solution like Veeva in order to perform their jobs adequately. I also think its interesting to see how well the company tracks their reps and their interaction with doctors and sample usage. I think this information could really help pharmaceutical companies get a better grasp on sales and target markets. Overall, I think Veeva sounds like a solution that many healthcare industries may be looking to implement in order to streamline their data. There will always be security concerns when dealing with ERP’s and especially ones that are cloud-based but it seems like only a matter of time before this transition becomes a normality in the business world.
I also agree with Ryan, that Veeva is a great solution for the sales reps that are always on the move. They have real time assess to all the information right on their Ipads, where they can showcase products to doctors and create orders that synch instantly in the cloud. The fact that Veeva actually collects data on doctors and what products they are looking for and provides that information to the pharmaceutical companies is just makes their product even better. Now sales reps have access to detailed information, which will allow the sales reps specifically target certain doctors and gain a better advantage in providing them with the specific products they are looking for.
