As far as questions 1 and 2 go I think it goes hand and hand with Apple’s brand and business model. In my opinion, people buy Apple products because of its dominate brand presence especially in the US, however, the trend of switching to Samsung/Android has definitely been noticed and I think that mostly is because of price and all the articles and…[Read more]

First and foremost I think that anything to improve customer experience especially in regards to technological difficulties is worth wild to a company. I’m only 21 but I can distinctly remember the elementary to middle school years when internet and wireless connection came into play; my parents had no idea about any of it and I was just as…[Read more]

As far as who is to “blame” for the ERP failure I would agree with William and say mostly Avon with other third parties being partially responsible; ultimately Avon should have thoroughly tested the system before implementing in and they have and will continue to suffer for not doing so. The only group I would say deserves no blame is the sales reps.

After reading the article I would say that it pointed out many great advantages of RFID implementation in hospitals. It has always been said that the difference between life and death can often depend upon a few seconds; therefore, systems like the RFID that can save time in hospitals could result in many saved lives. However, in regards to your…[Read more]

I’d just like to comment on one of the discussion questions you provided. Judging on what I read in the article I think the USPS could potentially compete with technology leaders such as Amazon and Google with regards to technology and employees who posses enough IT experience. Where I think the USPS would be at a great disadvantage would be…[Read more]
Very interesting article on B2B and B2C. Definitely has the potential to be even more dominant because it provides accessibility to various distributors internationally whose prices are more competitive which is a plus for small and medium sized business. Competitive prices means that more of the capital can be applied to the workforce which is a plus for employees.
Great article about the rise of B2B commerce – Interestingly, but not surprisingly, Amazon is already in the marketplace with amazonsupply.com (https://www.internetretailer.com/2014/07/22/amazon-and-ebay-grow-their-b2b-online-sales) however, their model seems to be a little different.
Great article. I remember my friend told me all about Alibaba when they were about to launch their IPO a few years ago but I did not realize they had become such a force in the B2B market. I do not believe Alibaba or any other company will replace traditional supply chains in the near future but I believe Alibaba may continue to steal a portion of business from traditional supply chains.
