As far as who is to “blame” for the ERP failure I would agree with William and say mostly Avon with other third parties being partially responsible; ultimately Avon should have thoroughly tested the system before implementing in and they have and will continue to suffer for not doing so. The only group I would say deserves no blame is the sales reps.

Very interesting article on B2B and B2C. Definitely has the potential to be even more dominant because it provides accessibility to various distributors internationally whose prices are more competitive which is a plus for small and medium sized business. Competitive prices means that more of the capital can be applied to the workforce which is a plus for employees.

Great article. I remember my friend told me all about Alibaba when they were about to launch their IPO a few years ago but I did not realize they had become such a force in the B2B market. I do not believe Alibaba or any other company will replace traditional supply chains in the near future but I believe Alibaba may continue to steal a portion of business from traditional supply chains.
