New Cybersecurity Reporting Rules
I believe the sponsor of New Cybersecurity Reporting Rules is Temple University. During the activity, Mrs. Thu Nguyen spoke about the new reporting rules in the realm of cybersecurity. I learned about the different disclosure requirements regarding cybersecurity incidents, cybersecurity risk management, strategy, governance, as well as how these rules will expand cyber compliance for companies and brokers. It is important that everyone discloses the full effect that cyber threats and incidents have. I also learned about how common cybersecurity attacks are, and that 91% of breaches start with a phishing email! I never would have guessed that. This activity relates to my career goals because I am super interested in cybersecurity. I have not taken any classes specifically on this topic, but I am looking forward to it even more now after this event.
