In this webinar, I learned about how to handle a cybersecurity attack. I surprisingly learned that most data breaches are caused due to human error, and that this can be a costly issue for a company to handle, with the average cost being $4.35 million. Data breaches are also increasingly becoming more expensive with time, so it is important to know how to prevent these mistakes, and correct them in the case that a data breach occurs. Also, the five steps to cyber defense are detection, protection, management, response, and recovery. This relates to my career goals because I am interested in cybersecurity, and I think it would be a rewarding job to help protect people’s data and save my company from cyber attacks.
