Career Aspirations

Career Objectives

When I was growing up, the only thing I wanted to do was be like my father. He got his degree at a four year university and then entered into a full time position in the United States Army. Naturally throughout my childhood I wanted to grow up and protect my country and follow in my father’s footsteps. Throughout high school my interests changed, and I grew an interest in the business field. I then came to Temple as a general Business Management major. I kept learning and my interests developed further into the MIS field. My individual goals are as follows:

1) Put family first: A career is a large facet of daily activity, however the purpose of an occupation is to be able to give my family and myself a comfortable lifestyle and the tools for success.

2) Attain a position where there is room for growth: Throughout every position, title, and rank of my life I have always been one to strive for the next step. I believe in a career as a process of climbing a ladder. Each rung is different step in the ladder of success throughout a company or the industry.

3) Work for a company with a professional culture: In my eyes, culture is a backbone to any working environment. A professional culture promotes success, achievement, company growth, and ethical decision making.

4)Use my ethical and moral values to dictate business decisions: Honesty is not just ethically right, but it is also very efficient. The only way a business can flourish to its greatest potential, is if all of its employees are actually invested in the overall well-being of the company. Having integrity is very important to me, so with a strong and unwavering sense of character I will go about my duties the way they are supposed to be done.
