Football

I have loved the game of football for as long as I could remember. I was the happiest kid in the world when my parents finally let me participate in our junior high team. I then grew up and progressed through countless hours of training on the field and in the weight room and played for our high school team. Being able to represent my family, school, and town was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. I earned a starting position on the offensive line during my junior and senior season, and was also able to be selected as a captain during my senior season. The bonds and relationships that I was able to form with my fellow players will last forever. Even though I can no longer call myself a player, I will always be a Lehighton Indian.

Philadelphia Sports

Between my love for Temple University athletics, as well as every other Philadelphia sports team, I would like to call myself a Philly fanatic. Between the Broad Street Bullies, the Fightin’ Phils, the Eagles, and the 76er’s, my love for professional sports lies within the city of brotherly love.  I have been lucky enough to see each of the Philadelphia teams play live, except for the Flyers. It is however my goal to attend a game in the near future.

Reading

My constant love for reading started when I was a young boy paging through my Dr. Seuss books. Throughout the years I have progressed to loving to read. I believe that always having a book at hand during my leisure, helps to keep my mind awake and active. Such books that I enjoy include The Kite Runner, The Harry Potter Series, The Hunger Games Series, and various metaphysical poetry. I also like to keep updated with daily online periodicals such as the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and CNN.com. An interest in reading just correlates with a thirst for knowledge and I believe that we as a human population can never have too much knowledge.
