Proven Leadership Skills
I believe a leader can be a natural or can be formed with hard work, either way a leader needs opportunities to exercise and improve on their leadership abilities. Some of the ways I have exercised my leadership skills are through:
- Officer of the National Honor Society during high school where I had the responsibility of organizing service events, tutoring fellow students, and presenting speeches to my classmates and school administration.
- Additionally, during the same time period, I was involved in student government- where I organized information for my class and aided with school events running smoothly.
- In one of my past finance classes, my classmates voted me to become our class CFO on our board of directors where I organized the money and resources for a group fundraiser, and I also aided in the decision to invest in certain stocks with money donated by a guest advisor that taught us investing strategies.
- During my athletic career, I was captain of my bowling team and captain of my intramural volleyball team. In both positions, I organize practices, communicate the schedule, and keep the team energetic and positive.
- Recently, I lead several group projects at Temple thus far, where I usually came up with a framework for the project so my team can effectively complete it.
- I am an active member in my student organization, Gamma Iota Sigma.
