Taiwan engineers defeat limits of flash memory

Taiwan Engineers Defeat Limits of Flash Memory on Phys.org

While this new NAND flash memory will be very good for industrial uses, I just don’t think that it will make that huge of a difference to the average consumer. Most people will not rewrite information on their flash drive ten thousand times; I’m sure they have either lost it or bought a new one because the price of flash drives goes down so quickly relative to their storage capacity. However, this could be huge for solid state hard drives which will eventually drop in price in hit the mainstream market, hugely affecting personal computing power. Regardless of what I think, read the article; very interesting!
