IT Awards Reception

FoxITawards2015-1140x445

Every Spring, Temple University hosts an IT awards reception where students and faculty can get together with many industry leaders and network in a relaxed environment. Although students and professors are recognized for their performance and industry professionals are rewarded for their work in the field, the night is mostly about forging connections with one another and speaking in a relaxed environment. It’s rare that faculty will set aside a night specifically for students to communicate with no pressure or ramifications, and that is an important facet of working life. Without a communal trust among your peers, work becomes much less productive because members are reluctant to share all their ideas. It seems like a negligible facet of the field, but sometimes people lose sight of the fact that IT is not just about technology but is chiefly dependent on the people behind that technology
