We plan to make an application called “The Move”. The app will help people search nightlife options (bars and clubs) based off a number of criteria. It will be similar to Yelp except entirely focused on bars and clubs. It will provide, in a simple and straightforward manner, all of the relevant information people such as ourselves want to know when choosing a bar to go to: Is there a cover? Is there a dress code? What time is it most popular? Is there usually a line? What type of music is played? … and other criteria along those lines. Also, we want to incorporate some real-time data features so that users know what is a lively place to attend at that moment. We think that with the real-time data features, and the strict focus on bars and clubs, our app provides a solution to a current problem and significantly differs from Yelp.
