In this webinar, we got to hear from Brent Dawson who is a Microsoft Certified Trainer in London, England.
Hybrid Cloud – Consists of On-premises network, Azure Stack, and Azure virtual network. VMs run in the platform and allow us to implement applications. Here, Bastions can be created and its subnet used to connect to firewalls when sitting between external and internal firewalls.
Migration Options (moving from a normal data center to the cloud) – You have the ability to migrate different types of VMs like Windows Servers, Linux Servers, and Virtual Desktops. Apps that are based on ASP.NET, Java, and PHP can be migrated. Data managed on SQL, Open Source, and Analytics are included as well as Hybrid stacks and VMWare.
Microsoft Cloud is also transforming and making digital manufacturing more efficient by:
- Promoting health and safety, wellness
- Activating digital selling
- Planning and optimizing
- Providing supply chain visibility
- Always being on service
This webinar highlighted the different ways that Microsoft Azure is crucial in digital transformation. As an MIS major, it is important to understand the world of technology and what factors impact it on a daily basis. I found this webinar very insightful and educational.
