ISACA – Securing the Mass Work-from-Home Transition
This event was hosted by ISACA via online on August 13, 2020. The guest speaker for this event was Eric Anderson, Adobe’s Acting Director for Enterprise Security, and Aron Anderson, Adobe’s Manager of Enterprise Security.
In this webinar, Eric and Aron gave great insight on their experience of switching Adobe to a work at home environment. They explained how they prepared for the pandemic by switching their network from a physical network to a cloud-based network. They faced many challenges including the change in volume of remote access users, new employee on-boarding, employee issue support, and improving network security while reducing reliance of a VPN.
Having recently finished MIS 3406, I have a good understanding of cloud-based networks. Seeing a cloud-based network implemented into a real work environment has been very eye-opening as I understand the many benefits that come with this type of network. It will be very interesting to see how this evolves and if it begins to shift into a standard companies adapt during this pandemic.
