The “Acing Your Interview: Virtual and In-Person Best Practices” webinar, sponsored by Opportunity Knocks which is the name of the sponsoring organization, provided important skills into acing both virtual and in-person interview techniques. My role as a student and participant, I engaged in interactive sessions designed to refine key interview skills, such as effectively communicating strengths, handling challenging questions, and demonstrating confidence. The workshop covered essential topics, including the nuances of virtual etiquette, the importance of body language, and strategies to establish a connection with interviewers in various settings. Through this experience, I learned a better understanding of the distinct dynamics in virtual versus in-person interviews and how to adapt my approach accordingly. Additionally, I learned practical tips on preparation, such as researching the company culture, aligning my skills with the organization’s needs, and framing my experiences in a way that resonates with hiring managers.
