I don’t think I would choose Microsoft Dynamics as my ERP product, even after reading the article. I feel that Microsoft Dynamics from the way the book describes it, is not as efficient as it should be. Plus it does not have compatibility with Microsoft Word and other Microsoft products, which I find surprising. I don’t see the benefit in using…[Read more]

The article definitely explains how beneficial it is to not have dirty data and how it can impact the company. Having dirty data can definitely cause high costs and diminishing sales and lack of customer satisfaction. I know the company I work for has been having issues with this recently as some of our most popular items are not in the system…[Read more]

I feel like companies are pushing for cloud computing to be our future. I don’t think it necessarily has to be our future but from the looks of it, that is where we are heading. I think that before any of that can happen though cloud computing needs to be made safer. There are still a lot of issues with safety and privacy that I think need to…[Read more]

I think that product recalls go unnoticed for so long because the numbers are usually so low. Most people will not pay attention to a low number and will find it insignificant until the numbers start to grow and demonstrate a danger. I also think that companies don’t always have a plan if a recall is needed which could lead to problems with the…[Read more]

I think the most important key to a successful business-customer relationship is respond promptly. I don’t know how many times I have been disappointed in a company because they did not respond to me quickly and would take weeks to answer me. I think at times it is forgotten that answering quickly, I’d say in at least a couple of days, could…[Read more]

I think in the future technology will be able to foresee what is going to occur way in advanced and therefore have a solution already planned for whenever it does happen. This will diminish the surprises that Supply Chain managers have when it comes to keeping everything coordinated and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. I also think that…[Read more]

For question 3 I definitely think that ERP is needed in business, and I know in the company I am at it is definitely needed. We use ERP for everything especially huge roll outs of product. If we couldn’t integrate across departments we would be in a lot of trouble seeing as our departments are located in different locations. With ERP everyone…[Read more]

I feel that ERP can definitely transition into service-oriented market. Like anything else what makes it good is whether or not it can adapt as time goes on. While it has taken some time it looks like ERP is adapting so as to stay with the times and continue to be used. One way would be to be use a subscription base or at least allow for data…[Read more]

To answer question one I definitely think that enterprise information system is sustainable in the future. It allows for a better flow of information in the organization and for easy access to said information by all. This is beneficial as it means that the organization does not need to have data in different areas but can centralize which could…[Read more]

I feel that as time goes on we will definitely become more dependent on artificial intelligence. I think as time has gone and artificial intelligence has become more advanced people nowadays use it more and more. I know a lot of people who use SIRI and Cortana for everything, whether that be to get directions to a restaurant, to a simple…[Read more]

I definitely think that companies can use social media to find new employees, if we’re talking about using a platform such as LinkedIn. I think with any other platform it is not really doable, especially because on other social media sites, like Facebook and Twitter no one is really putting their skills or ideas out there most of the time on…[Read more]

Age can definitely be a factor when it comes to social goals. For younger people I think it is easier to suggest new ideas and to have a very open way of thinking. I think also younger people are more open to being so connected with their co-workers than say their older counterparts who would rather be more private or collaborate and bounce…[Read more]

For question 3, I definitely think that a social media presence is necessary in today’s world since most people are so connected to the Web and to their mobile devices technology. Many people now a days are constantly on their social media and get much of their information and opinions on companies from these media outlets so by having a presence…[Read more]
