I recently saw their advertisement for this card. This is a huge success for Apple to create their own credit card. It is not game-changing, however, it will strengthen their brand. Apple is all about their shared environment between their products. Many people will sign up for this card just to have that Apple logo. It’s exciting to see Apple…[Read more]

I think Genetic Fortune Telling will be a promising venture. Whenever I think of genetics, it reminds me of the film, Gattaca. Gattaca is about a society where scientists can genetically modify a child to be born with the parents’ best hereditary features. This lead those children gain the best phenotypes and to be less susceptible to diseases.…[Read more]

Japan is a very traditional country in which most of their small to medium businesses will use physical cash payments instead of credit cards. In 2017, approximately 7.35 million Chinese tourists visited Japan. […]

I have recently attended a cash-less cafe in Philadelphia. The cafe was packed due to the lunchtime rush. Due to the cash-less pay model, the line was swift and the transactions went smoothly. Technology is rapidly advancing, I predict that cash won’t even be present in the future. It will be ancient history as currency will turn virtual. Cash…[Read more]

Dianne J Ogalesco commented on the post, How Loot Boxes Are Affecting Gamers, Gamblers, and Regulators, on the site 5 years, 10 months ago
Loot boxes are indeed addicting as I can say from personal experience. Video game companies are capitalizing off these loot boxes. They make these boxes enticing by the chance to win rare, limited edition add-ons to the game. Children are still developing their brains and cannot comprehend how dangerous this is. I think the fact that video games…[Read more]

I find this very interesting. Leaving dogs unattended in a car has been an arising problem recently. Tesla has definitely taken advantage of this opportunity. However, isn’t leaving dogs unattended in a running car mean the dog owner is irresponsible? This implementation might influence Tesla owners to leave their dogs often since they have…[Read more]

As many people know, QVC was known as the shopping channel. The host or hostess would demo products on live television from clothes and beauty to kitchen appliances. Seeing these live demonstrations transformed […]

This is my first time hearing about Amazon Live and I found it interesting how Amazon continues to incorporate other companies’ successful strategies. Amazon live will give their customers more of an incentive to purchase off their website. I’m not sure about Amazon’s next target, but I really like how they’re using drones to deliver packages which is an innovative way to deliver. However, issues such as safety and drone regulations may arise and Amazon would need to find a way to work around those issues.

It is very interesting to see how Amazon continues to evolve itself over these last few years. I am wondering when the peak of Amazon will be, how far will they go? They are definitely not done. They continue to try out new strategies, such as the live streaming, and they continue to succeed. I can see Amazon getting involved in real estate. With such a strong online presence, it would be a great platform for house hunting. I could even see it linked with Amazon Live – instead of live streaming products such as kitchen appliances, it would live stream a whole house. Who really knows what Amazon is planning next, but I think Zillow may be the next company to fall victim to the Amazon sweep.

Steve Jobs wasn’t just a wonderful presenter, but also an excellent marketer, a strategic businessman, and gifted storyteller. His reputation has left us a legacy.
Some key presentation techniques that stood out to me was the way he stick with a singular theme and how he sold the story. A list of facts does not attract consumers, a story f…[Read more]

I think the general trend in the world is moving away from paper money. When a major economic country like China moves to make the majority of its currency digital, it would make sense for other countries to do so as well. I agree that the 2020 Olympics can be way more beneficial to the country if they start allowing QR payments because there will be a ton of Chinese tourists who can now pay for things easily.
