Our team finished strong with an awesome presentation and prototype. In preparation, the PMs and BAs met up many times this week leading up to the final presentation for some last minute touches on our project. It was rewarding for me to see the final presentation and the positive reaction our team received once it was over. The BAs thanked us for our support and guidance, making me feel proud of the efforts I made to help my team succeed. Additionally, the PMs met up twice this week, and plan to meet again on Sunday, to finalize our binder. I think we are in a great position to produce a great project binder, as our team seemed ahead of the others when we presented our work-in-progress binder earlier in the week.

During the summer of 2014, I interned in the Information Technologies Department at Masonic Villages of Elizabethtown. Masonic Villages is a non-profit retirement community, which includes a health care center, children’s home, and residences. There are four other Masonic locations throughout Pennsylvania including: Dallas, Sewickley, Lafayette Hill, and Warminster.
My internship was the best professional experience that I have ever had and I feel so fortunate to have worked for the company. As a Computer Technician, my responsibilities included identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving computer and printer problems that the roughly 1,000 employees on campus were experiencing. Additionally, I played a big role in the PC Refresh Cycle that our IT department conducts as part of company policy. I set up new PCs, transferred users old files, and then arranged times with the users to deliver and install their new PCs. For me, this was the most enjoyable part of my internship because I established relationships with employees from all of Masonic’s departments.
I believe that the technical skills and the professional relationships that I gained as an intern at Masonic will make me a valuable asset to other companies in the future.

This week, we as PMs and our BAs focused most of our attention on the tests, so we may have fallen a little behind on the project. Although not all PMs were able to attend, our BAs asked us to meet to discuss their first test and provide them with helpful tips so that they could be successful. They mentioned that they still had difficulties on the test, but I am confident that the help that we as PMs provided will result in the BAs doing better than origninlaly expected.
We are stressing the importance to the BAs that they need to start getting very comfortable with JustinMind. Additionally, we suggested that they complete the extra credit assignment to familiarize themselves with the software. We are scheduling a “workshop” with the BAs in the coming days to share our knowledge with JustinMind and answer any other questions they may have.
As a PM team, we did not have time to meet this week; however, we are planning to this weekend or early next week. Now that the first exam is out of the way, we will definitely start to perfect the deliverables so that we can end with a successful project.
