The most important thing I have learned from this class is that data is used everywhere and can be used in all sorts of professions not just business ones. It also helped me learn to interpret data and really understand what it means.

One example of a KPI I use is my GPA.
Specific: because it pertains to a specific class
Measurable: because it is based off of either a 4.0 scale or out of 100%
Achievable: because students set goals to have a certain GPA
Relevant: because colleges, jobs, gradschools, scholarships use it for entry into their program

I have downloaded CSV files directly into excel. When I did this nothing that I know of happened and things seemed to work out fine. But I think a really important thing to look out for is clicking “yes” when the popup asks if you want to remove this from the server. Out of the 8 core principles or good data visualization I believe that the most important one is to simplify.
