The most important takeaway from this course is the fact that we learned about data and many diffrent ways to use the data and understand what it is. The tools like Tableau and Excel were very interesting to learn and it will give you a better understanding about what big data is. I would use Amazon.com where the columns would be the departments, deals, browsing history, sign in, orders, cart. In each column starting with departments, includes all the categories where you can choose to buy something, the deals would have all the types of deals, the browsing history will show you what you have searched up, the sign in would…[Read more]

The biggest challenge for me was trying to figure out what infographics we had to choose for our visualization. We all tried to go online to various websites to find which infographic would be correct for what we were trying to solve. We decided to create our own infographics by drawing on the paint tool online. We then eventually found out which…[Read more]

The KPI I use is my Wells Fargo online banking app. It is specific and measurable because it tells me the details of how much money I left in my account, how much I withdrew and how much I deposited. It also will tell me when I have too much money in my account or too less amount. It is achievable because it helps me with my financial status. It…[Read more]

The mistake I’ve made was clicking “yes” without evaluating the message. Sometimes I try to finish the work quickly and then I end up clicking “yes” way too quickly so I can get done earlier. This has caused me to lose important files like essays, and excel files. I usually don’t read the directions properly which causes me to get into this…[Read more]

I think the “Explore” principle is the most important because as we look at our data, we have to be able to discover what is in our data. We need to have the interest in looking at where the data is coming from and what exactly is going on in terms of the correlation of data. The more we explore data, the more knowledge we gain as we look at the…[Read more]

The most important takeaway from Mr.Celebi’s presentation was the different types of data that he showed us in the airline industry. I was interested in how Turkish Airlines was compared to other airlines in the industry. Also, the way the company was able to track how many employees can access their data was interesting to see. Since Mr Celebi…[Read more]

This is about the cost of Hurricane Harvey. What is interesting about this article is that since there are many different weather events that cost billions of dollars, hurricane Harvey is the 2nd most costliest behind hurricane Katrina. Over the span of 2 months, it costed hurricane…[Read more]

One who has a lot of money is considered to be happy always. The data that I would collect is that people may spend too much money all the time, leading to a decrease in the money that they already have. They may also have a financial problem or a job problem which can lead them to being sad. They could have other outside problems that can lead to…[Read more]
