The biggest take away for me is realizing that with the evolution of technology we will always have a use for the “people” resources. MIS gives us the opportunity to look at the how and and implement the appropriate changes that need to be made for the business to run effectively.

Both SCM and CRM are important. However, I believe that CRM is the most important and is more relative to all industries. Without customers you have no business to sell goods or provide a service to. Although it’s been around for many year now, I think the most interesting technology is the creation of social media. People now have immediate access to events and stories. They are able to see for themselves what is going on in the works versus being told by news media. The real time access has given the public the ability to have knowledge immediately.

Working in a HR related field it is imperative to have accurate data. People resources is the biggest expense on the P&L and being able to on-board qualified candidates into the right role requires accurate data. If the data is bad this would create elongated cycle times to bring in resources and increased attrition rates just to name a few.…[Read more]

A decision tree would be helpful for HRM when hiring resources. Where the individual manager will select a candidate based on qualifications the hiring process can use a decision tree to ensure that the onboarding is done properly and is inline with state laws, rules and regulations.
